You weren’t meant to live this life alone.
The first thing in human history that God said wasn’t good was aloneness—not eating an apple; not disobedience (Gen 1:18). He created us to share this believing life with spouses, with families, with cherished friends.
And yet so often our image of the life of faith is of a solitary believer, wrestling with temptations and struggling for elusive faith. Far too many Christians go each week to spaces they call “sanctuaries,” searching for connection, hungry for prayerful conversation—and go back home unwarmed, untouched, unheld.
The grace that saves us saves us for community, for sharing, for open-hearted trusting of the people called together by the Spirit in the name of Jesus. “You are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God” (Eph 2:19).
If your burden is too great, there are believers who will help you bear it. If your faith is fragile and unsteady, borrow some from those the Father has planted near you.
Admitting that we need each other is the wise response to the good news of grace.
So stay in it.
